PLA photoluminescent granules for 3D glowing filament

Eco-Friendly Glow-in-the-Dark PLA Granules

The ultimate sustainable masterbatch. Our PLA photoluminescent granules are biodegradable, Não-tóxico, and optimized for 3D printing and injection molding.

PLA Photoluminescent Granules (Eco-Friendly Glow)

Our PLA Photoluminescent Granules ( also name PLA Photoluminescent masterbatch ) represent the intersection of sustainable material science and advanced luminous technology. By compounding high-purity strontium aluminate pigment with premium Polylactic Acid (PLA)—a biodegradable thermoplastic derived from renewable resources like corn starch—we have created a high-performance masterbatch ready for extrusion and injection molding.

These photoluminescent granules are specifically engineered for manufacturers seeking to produceGlow-in-the-Dark” 3D printing filament, eco-friendly consumer goods, and sustainable architectural elements.

Photoluminescent granules Key Features & Benefits

  • 100% Bio-Based & Biodegradable: The carrier resin is high-grade PLA, offering an environmentally responsible alternative to petroleum-based plastics without compromising on structural integrity.
  • Superior Glow Performance: Infused with rare-earth doped aluminates, these granules provide a vibrant initial luminance and an afterglow that lasts for 8–12 hours.
  • Optimized for 3D Printing: Specifically formulated to maintain consistent melt flow (MFR), ensuring that extruded filaments are smooth, clog-resistant, and have a uniform distribution of glow particles.
  • Low Warpage & Odor: Inherits the user-friendly properties of PLA, including minimal thermal expansion during cooling and a pleasant, non-toxic aroma during processing.
  • Vivid Color Range: Available in standard High-Intensity Green, Aqua Blue, and specialized Sky Blue.

Primary Applications

1. 3D Printing Filament Production

The gold standard for Glow PLA 3d filaments. These granules ensure that the resulting filament is easy to print, has excellent layer adhesion, and glows intensely after minimal light exposure.

2. Sustainable Consumer Goods

Used for manufacturing eco-friendly toys, light switch plates, phone cases, and household gadgets that need to be found easily in the dark.

3. Decorative Architecture

Ideal for injection-molded tile spacers, furniture accents, and indoor path markers where a “verde” building certification (like LEED) is required.

4. Educational & Scientific Models

Perfect for creating glowing skeletal models, astronomical maps, and biological structures for classrooms and museums.

Processing Guidelines

  • Drying: PLA is hygroscopic. For best results, dry the granules at 50 C / 122 F for 4–6 hours before extrusion to prevent hydrolysis and bubbling.
  • Extrusion/Molding Temperature: Keep processing temperatures between 185 C and 215 C. Avoid exceeding 230 C to prevent thermal degradation of the PLA polymer.
  • Mixing Ratio: Can be used as a 100% ready-to-run material or as a masterbatch. When used as a masterbatch, a let-down ratio of 20% Para 50% into virgin PLA is typical, depending on the desired glow intensity.
  • Equipment Care: Photoluminescent particles are naturally abrasive. We recommend using hardened steel nozzles and barrels for long-term production.

Safety & Sustainability

  • Non-Toxic: Free from lead, phosphorus, and radioactive elements.
  • Compostable: Under industrial composting conditions, the PLA carrier will break down into CO2 and water.
  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place in vacuum-sealed or moisture-proof packaging. Exposure to high humidity will degrade the PLA resin over time.
