Photoluminescent Pellets for Plastics extrusion
Everyglow Photoluminescent pellets (also known as glow-in-the-dark masterbatch) are specially engineered luminous plastic compounds designed for direct processing in standard plastic manufacturing equipment. Made with high-brightness long-afterglow phosphorescent materials uniformly dispersed in polymer carrier resin, these pellets offer excellent compatibility, stability, and ease of use.

Photoluminescent pellets Key Features:
They absorb and store energy from natural light, indoor lighting, or UV sources, then release a bright, long-lasting glow in dark or low-light conditions. Featuring high luminosity, uniform color, good weather resistance, and non-toxic composition, they maintain consistent performance during injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, and film blowing.
Programmer:
Widely used in plastic products such as safety signs, pipeline markers, switch buttons, household items, Leker, automotive parts, building profiles, and industrial accessories, photoluminescent pellets help manufacturers produce durable, self-luminous finished products efficiently without complicated powder mixing.
How to Use Photoluminescent Pellets ?
Photoluminescent Masterbatch (glow-in-the-dark pellets) are ready-to-use plastic compound granules designed for standard plastic processing equipment. Follow these steps for best results:
1. Mixing Ratio
- Mix 5%–20% photoluminescent pellets with 80%–95% natural plastic resin pellets (PP, PE, ABS, PS, PVC, EVA,PLA,PS etc.).
- Higher ratio = brighter and longer glow.
2. Drying (If Needed)
- If the material is hygroscopic (e.g., PLA, KJÆLEDYR, PA), dry at 70–85°C for 2–3 hours to avoid bubbles or poor surface finish.
3. Processing
Use in normal plastic production processes:
- Injection molding
- Extrusion (sheets, profiles, pipes)
- Blow molding
- Film blowing
- 3D printing filaments
Set temperature according to the base plastic resin, not the luminous masterbatch.
4. Molding & Cooling
- Process under normal pressure and speed.
- Cool products naturally or with water cooling.
5. Activating the Glow
- Expose the finished product to Sunlight, natural light, indoor light, or UV light for 5–13 minutes.
- It will glow brightly in dark environments for several hours.
6. Tips
- Avoid overheating to prevent color change or reduced brightness.
- Do not mix with dark or heavily pigmented resins, as they may block light absorption.
- For best glow performance, use light-colored base resins (hvit, transparent, natural).
Advantages of Photoluminescent Pellets
-
Easy to use No powder handling, dust, or complicated mixing. Just blend with raw plastic pellets and process directly.
-
Uniform dispersion & consistent glow Luminous pigments are evenly distributed in the carrier resin, ensuring no streaks, spots, or uneven brightness in finished products.
-
Compatible with most plastics Works well with PE, PP, ABS, PS, PVC, EVA, TPU,KJÆLEDYR, PMMA and other common polymers.
-
Better flowability & processability Improves feeding in injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding machines, reducing production issues.
-
Strong & long-lasting afterglow High brightness, long afterglow time, stable luminescence after repeated charging.
-
Less dust, cleaner production Compared to luminous powder, pellets greatly reduce dust pollution and protect equipment and working environment.
-
Stable performance & weather resistance Heat-resistant, anti-aging, not easy to fade, suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
-
Safe & eco-friendly Ikke giftig, non-radioactive, complies with environmental standards, safe for toys, daily necessities, and safety products.
-
Saves time & labor No need for pre-mixing or masterbatch preparation, improves production efficiency.
-
Suitable for mass production Stable quality, easy to scale, ideal for industrial manufacturing of plastic parts, sheets, films, profiles, etc.
Are photoluminescent pellets safe for human health?
Yes, standard high-quality photoluminescent pellets are generally safe for human health when used properly. Here’s a clear summary:
- They are ikke-giftig, non-radioactive, and do not contain harmful heavy metals (lead, mercury, arsenic, etc.) that endanger health.
- Made from polymer carrier resin + long-afterglow luminescent powder (strontium aluminate-based), which is chemically stable and non-irritating.
- No harmful fumes are released during normal plastic processing (injection, extrusion) at recommended temperatures.
- Compliant with common safety standards such as RoHS, REACH, and toy safety regulations (EN71, ASTM F963).
- Safe for use in daily necessities, Leker, household items, baby products, and food-contact-safe plastic applications (when grade-specified).
Cautions
- Not intended to be eaten. Keep away from infants to prevent accidental swallowing.
- Avoid inhaling dust if pellets are ground into powder.
- Do not overheat during processing, as excessive temperature may cause resin degradation.
